ABC宣布续订《实习医生格蕾》第19季。和第18季一样，ABC没有宣布这会是最终季，或是EllenPompeo出演的最后一季。KristaVernoff继续担任运作人。EllenPompeo则签订了一年期限的全新合约，并将在新季中从联合执行制片升级为执行制片。此外，剩余的初始演员ChandraWilson和JamesPickensJr.据悉签订了多年合约，其中就包括第19季。
